Nearly thirty years ago, I spent a few months working in a church in Wales. One day the youth leader said to me in passing, "Someday I would like to go to America and witness the revival in Pensacola." When he made this statement, I thought, "This used to be the center of revival." Where is the center of revival? I've heard some say, "We're going to have a five day revival..." or maybe two or three. Some go here and there, looking for the presence of God, looking for a feeling that will lift them up, encourage them, even relieve some of their pain in life.
The center of revival doesn't start in places, buildings, or even moments of time, but in the hearts of men women and children yearning for such a presence of God in their lives that it changes the world around them. The Welsh Revival is just one of several examples of such an experience. One man saying "Lord, send revival, and start with me."
As you read the newspapers below, it's my prayer that this would not only be a blessing, but a challenge to find that center of the outpouring of God's precious Holy Spirit established in your hearts as it was in the days of this revival. God never changes. He is the same today as He was then.
